New Delhi, Nov 5 (PTI) Crude oil futures prices extended losses by losing 0.39 per cent today on selling by traders on the back of weakening global trend. Crude oil for December contract remained under selling pressure and lost another 0.39 per cent to Rs 3,785 per barrel with an open interest in 1,872 lots.
It had lost 0.24 per cent in the previous day''s trading. Similarly, the oil for delivery in November month contract traded marginally lower by 0.04 per cent to Rs 3,756 per barrel with an open interest in 15,476 lots.
Market analysts said sustained selling by traders in tandem with a weakening global trend mainly helped crude oil prices to trade lower at futures market here. Meanwhile, crude oil shed 53 cent to 78.36 dollar a barrel in New York.
