TRS to step up struggle for separate Telangana

Hyderabad, Nov 5 (PTI) Vowing to step up the struggle for a separate Telangana, TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao today said he would soon meet President Pratibha Patil and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and ask them to take urgent steps for its formation. He told reporters here that he would visit Delhi on November 9 and 10 and meet top leaders, including Congress president Sonia Gandhi and Opposition Leader L K Advani, to make a fresh bid for a separate Telangana.

Rao said he would meet Governor N D Tiwari and Chief Minister K Rosaiah tomorrow to press for his demand. He said he would undertake a fast unto death if his efforts yielded no result.

The movement for separate Telangana this time shall be decisive, he said. As a preparation for the stepped up agitation, his party would organise meetings in assembly constituencies across Telangana, Rao added.
