Swine flu claims 100th victim in Pune

Pune, Nov 5 (PTI) Swine flu claimed its 100th victim in the city today, the worst-hit area by the pandemic in the country. 28-year-old Mohini Undre died in a private hospital here after testing positive for H1N1 virus, official sources said.

The virus which claimed its first fatality -- a city school girl -- in the country on August three seems to be spreading unabated with ever increasing number of fresh cases of infection. Health authorities are preparing measures to contain a "second wave in the winter", expected to be more virulent.
