New Delhi, Nov 5 (PTI) The government has appointed senior Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer Durgesh Shankar as a member of the Central Board of Direct Taxes. Shankar is expected to take charge tomorrow at the CBDT in North Block.
The officer is at present a Chief Commissioner of Income Tax in the national capital. The post of Member (Revenue) is currently lying vacant with the retirement of earlier incumbent Saroj Bala since the last five months.
