Mixed trend in the market

Chennai, Nov 04 (PTI): Prices of Sugar moved up,while Maida and Sooji moved down, rest all other commodities remained unchanged at the wholesale foodgrains market here today. Sugar rose by Rs.

100 per quintal to Rs.3,300 from yesterdays rate of Rs.

3,200. Maida,Sooji (90 kg) declined by Rs.

50 each to Rs.1,750 and Rs.

1,800 from their previous rates of Rs.1,800 and Rs.

1,850 respectively. Thoor dal,Urad dal,moong dal,gram dal and wheat prices remained unaltered from their previous level.

Following are today''s rates per quintal: Thoor dal Rs.9,300, urad dal Rs.

8,000, moong dal Rs.8,500, gram dal Rs.

2,900, sugar Rs.3,300, wheat Rs,1,800, maida (90 kgs) Rs.

1,750 and sooji (90 kgs) Rs.1,800.
