New Delhi, Nov 4 (PTI) Almond futures prices today rose by 0.71 per cent after traders enlarged positions, supported by pick up in demand in the spot market for the ongoing marriage season. At the MCX, almond for the most-active November month contract rose by 0.71 per cent to Rs 317.75 per kg on the MCX counters with trading volume in 115 lots.
Restricted arrivals from overseas markets also supported rise in prices. Market analysts said pick up in demand in the spot markets on account of the ongoing marriage season demand against restricted arrival from overseas markets, mainly led to rise in almond prices at futures market.
