New Delhi, Aug 8 (PTI) The Congress today disapproved of sulking Maharashtra Minister Narayan Rane's going public with deliberations in the state cabinet. "Whatever might be the issue, matters raised in the cabinet should not be brought outside and whatever issues have to be brought up should be done in the party fora and with the leadership", said Congress spokesman Shakeel Ahmed.
Ahmed said differing with the party leaders and the cabinet decision is not a crime. "However, there is a mechanism to air grievances on the party platform," Ahmed added.
Asked whether action would be taken against Rane, who launched a fresh offensive against Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh, for airing his grievances to the media, Ahmed said party President Sonia Gandhi is away in China and any decision would be taken only after she returns. Rane has launched a tirade against Deshmukh over allotment of land to Videocon alleging favouritism was done.
