Toyako (Japan), July 9 (PTI) For Prime Minister Manmohan Singh it was work all the way from early in the morning today as he held a series of meetings with the leaders of the world's most powerful industrialised countries. After a hectic schedule yesterday, that included bilateral meetings and discussions with leaders of the outreach countries, Singh left his hotel in Sopporo, 100 km from here for more than a two-hour drive to Hotel Windsor on Mt Poromoi, 625 metres, for his parleys with US President George W Bush.

The meeting went 15 minutes beyond schedule and lasted about 50 minutes after which Singh attended a breakfast session with leaders of G8 and the five outreach countries (O5). He later held bilateral discussions with various leaders including new Russian President Dimitri Medvedev and Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd.

Singh also spoke to French President Nicholas Sarkozy, British Prime Minister Gordon Brown and German Chancellor Angela Merkel. PTI.
