Pranab calls for a convention on criminal matters

New Delhi, July 24 (ANI): Foreign Minister Pranab Mukherjee on Thursday said that India would push for a convention on mutual legal assistance among the SAARC nations over criminal matters. In the backdrop of the recent attack on the Indian Embassy in Kabul, Mukherjee said that it has become necessary to tackle crimes with regional cooperation.

Speaking about the controversial Indo-US nuclear deal, Mukherjee said that New Delhi is waiting to clear the next hurdle.
