The BSE Sensex turned positive on Thursday afternoon on bargain hunting after they fell as much as 2.2 percent earlier in the day.

At 2:43 p.m. (0913 GMT), the 30-share BSE index was up 0.13 percent at 15,933.42 points, with 17 components gaining.

The 50-share NSE index was up 0.2 percent at 4,721.10.
