Injury-hit Australia staged a determined fightback to win the fourth one-dayer by 24 runs on Monday to level the series 2-2.

Sachin Tendulkar was trapped lbw for 40 by spinner Nathan Hauritz with India, chasing 251 for victory, well placed on 94 for two but Australia turned the game around in spectacular fashion.

Left-arm quickie Doug Bollinger dismissed Mahendra Singh Dhoni (26) after sending back explosive opener Virender Sehwag (30) and Virat Kohli (10) in his first spell to keep the tourists in the hunt.

Medium-pacer Shane Watson then sent back the dangerous Harbhajan Singh (31), Praveen Kumar (16) and Ashish Nehra (7).

Earlier, Australia captain Ricky Ponting (52) struck his third half-century of the series and Cameron White hit 62 to help the visitors make 250 all out after being asked to bat first in the day-night game.

The fifth game in the seven-match series will be played in Hyderabad on Thursday.
