McLaren's outgoing world champion Lewis Hamilton retired from the season-ending Abu Dhabi Formula One Grand Prix with a brake problem after leading from pole position on Sunday.
The Briton was told over the radio that "we may have a right rear brake problem" after his first pitstop and returned to the garages after 20 of the 55 scheduled laps when the team instructed him "we cannot continue racing".
Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel led the floodlit race at the glittering new Yas Marina circuit, ahead of Australian team mate Mark Webber.
Both titles had already been decided before the sport's first day-to-night race, with Britain's Jenson Button and his Brawn GP team taking both in Brazil with a race to spare.
