NEW DELHI (Reuters) - State-run refiner Indian Oil Corp has bought Marib Light crude for September via its monthly tender, traders said on Thursday.
It has bought 1 million barrels of the Yemeni light, sweet crude from BP at a discount of 5 cents to dated Brent a barrel, traders said.
The grade has been bought for IOC subsidiary Chennai Petroleum Corp Ltd, which runs two refineries in southern India with a total capacity of 210,000 bpd, one trader said.
An official with IOC confirmed the volume and the grade.
